"I am a two-time full Ironman finisher. Somehow this no-name company has beat out Hoka. The shoes have a combination of features I have never seen combined:
- They are light as a feather
- They are stiff enough to protect (helps too with plantar fasciitis)
- They have the drop that Hoka and others have to take strain off the calf
- They have a wide toe box, which Hoka imo (and so many others) do NOT have.
- The insole it comes with actually is comfortable

I’m partial to On Cloud Monster running shoes, so I was curious when I saw the ad for Veloci Ascents. I was immediately impressed by the box, but even more impressed by the design of the shoe. The color scheme is dope, and the feather logo is tastefully done. Then I put them on, and immediately I the width in the footbed, and the acceleration forward. Then I ran 2 miles in them, and can already tell that these easily rival Brooks, Asics, Saucony and even On running shoes. The edge is the styling…It’s not lame. I wore these to high end restaurant in downtown L.A. with a fire outfit and my friends noticed them right away. The word is getting out. Tyler has done an amazing job with this startup and I wish him and his crew all the best!
