Why Runners Love Veloci

★ Our Favorite Customer Review Real runners. Real results. "I am a two-time full Ironman finisher. Somehow this no-name company has beat out Hoka. They are light as a feather, stiff enough to protect, have the drop to take strain off the calf, and have a wide toe box which Hoka does NOT have. I was blown away by the best running shoe I have ever worn." Mark C. — Texas Individual results may vary. This shoe is not intended to treat or prevent any medical condition.

A Letter From The Founder

"Half of all runners get hurt every year. I was one of them. So I built the shoe I wanted for myself."

As a former Division I runner, running shoes hurt the front of my feet from the narrow toe boxes of traditional shoes. Barefoot and minimalist shoes offered a more spacious toe box, but left my calves and Achilles aching.

While working in running stores, I saw the same thing every day: people leaving in the best available shoe, but not the right one. So we built the one I’d been looking for, with modern cushioning and support, paired with a toe box shaped the way your foot actually is. We can't wait to hear how you love your pair!

Best. Shoe. Ever.

I was already a fan of Veloci, but when the Mesa style shoe came out I became an even bigger fan! I love the colors and more importantly how my feet feel after a run! No pain and the stability shoe seems to be the perfect fit(pun intended) for my feet! I love Veloci and highly recommend to runners and walkers of all levels!

Unbelievably impressed!!

I’m 62 and I’ve never written a review, but this is worth taking the time for. I have been running for years and constantly struggle with finding shoes I can run in because of my bunions. Even though I felt it was a huge risk. I went ahead and purchased these shoes based on the reviews. For the first time in a long time, I have no pain when running. That was starting with the very first run. I used to have to wear thick socks with a gel Band-Aid over the bunion. Now I am able to wear regular running socks. I cannot express enough how grateful I am to have found these shoes.

This shoe works for me. I am at an unhealthy weight gor my height and started walking the recommended 10K steps. B/c of my weight, my feet hurt, my ankles hurt, i had blisters. I didnt give up. I tried every name brand out there but they were either too hard or too soft. As Goldilocks would say, “These are perfect” This shoe is perfectly engineered. I can do 10K with practically no pain (each lb lost decreases pain). Ty to whoever engineered these. One suggestion: can you make a pure white one?

I am usually disappointed in new shoes but THESE ARE GREAT!!

I am usually disappointed in new shoes. As I've aged my feet have changed (along with other body parts) and now along with high arches and narrow heels I need a wider toe box. In the past, that has always meant a shoe that was overall too big. If I bought for width and heels, it was squeezing my toes.

But I decided to give these a try (after buying Hokas, Brooks, etc.) and have been so pleased! My toes are happy and not rubbing together. My heels are staying in place. My knees and low back are happy.

BTW, I am NOT a runner, but I am on my feet ALL DAY everyday (I work with dogs, am in the kitchen, etc). I am bowlegged and have spinal stenosis, so when I say I'm not in pain it's kind of big deal.

Looking forward to buying another pair! I need colors! Pink! Blue! Please!

Unstable shoe

I really wanted to like these. I ran less than a mile and had to stop because the side of my foot hurt too badly. I am someone who has run 2 marathons and rarely has foot pain. Even with a superfeet insert the support on these feels unstable and the shoe is weirdly narrow through the midfoot. Despite being highly cushioned shoes I felt like I was bottoming out with every stride. Even walking on these I can see how much I am pronating. I really hate leaving negative reviews but wouldn’t recommend these for runners who need stability shoes.

NOT A RUNNER-MAJOR FOOT SURGERY

I'm not a runner and I don't think I ever will be. After having major foot surgery, I needed a shoe that had a wide toe box. Other shoes were wide all the way through, but this one let my toes wiggle and spread out naturally without feeling squished. It had a wide toe box and a narrow heel, which kept my heel locked in place without slipping. The shoe fit snugly on the bottom of my foot without putting too much pressure on my arch. The top material and tongue felt comfortable against my foot, not digging in or leaving any red marks.

Love the shoes but I wish the inserts had better arch support

Love the shoes but I wish the inserts had better arch support. Seems like an oversight for an otherwise great shoe.

Great shoes

First pair in a long while where I'm not getting blisters in weird places on my toes. Also comfortable for my bunions. And I like that I can tie the laces normally without needing a runner's loop or something else that makes things tight across the ankle. Just wish it came in more colors!

Great shoe, runs small and is expensive

I bought these shoes because I have been struggling with Achilles issues. They do seem to help and they are comfortable. They do run about 1/4 size small. So definitely size up. I thought they fit and I went on a walk in them, and realized they were just a tad small. I used thick socks and a blow dryer to stretch out the toe box so that they would be more comfortable. I thought the return policy was try them for 30 days like Altra, but these they have to be unworn. They are working fine, but that was a bit annoying. Also the price is kinda high, but all shoes are expensive right now. But, they do seem to be helping with my Achilles so I will probably keep getting them for now.

The Mesa

Took some getting used to at first. I have been wearing Hoka’s for so many years that I am used to a shoe with more stability feeling to it. I do like the fact it is very lightweight though. Will see how they hold up long term.

Great stability

If you pronate even a little, the Mesa is a great stability shoe. And the higher heel drop is amazing without being too much .

So far so good!

So far so good. I’ve done 4-5 runs in my new shoes. I haven’t had any soleus tightness in the last couple runs. Fingers crossed! Hoping this is the end of a very long road of several stress fractures caused by post tibial tendinitis. Shoes are very comfortable and don’t feel bulky at all.

Not Right for me, read the return policy.

Trying new shoes is hard for me due to my flat feet and peroneal tendinopathy but, I took a risk because of the unique combination of the natural toe box, rocker geometry and, 10mm drop which matches my usual shoe. I find them a little stiff and the sidewall supports seem to push my feet a little too much. I also think the heel is a little big, needs to be snugger. If you all had a more lenient return policy, I probably would have returned them, lesson learned for not checking that thoroughly. That being said, I'll try to work them into my rotation very slowly, if they don't work out, I will donate them.

One run. So far, I like. True to size

I have worn them one time 3-mile run. At first, they feel stiff and not very supportive, but after three miles my knees and hips did not hurt as bad as they have with some others. I have been wearing barefoot shoes for about 10 to 15 years, and these are the first shoes with a drop I've worn in a while, so they felt a little bit like wearing high heels to me.The color leaves me wanting more, but I think they are great. So far I like the way the women's size 12 fits. Seems true to size.

Rubs the ankle bone something fierce

I really wanted to like these shoes. I have stubborn Plantar Fasciitis, so I'm always looking for shoes that will allow me to walk and hike without aggravating it and causing pain. These actually do accomplish that - good arch support and very cushy. I also like that the wide toe box. The issue is, the dropped heel causes the top of the shoe to rub hard against the ankle bone, causing blisters. I absolutely cannot use them, even with socks and or a band-aid for protection. Also, they just look very clunky and frumpy.

Comfortable for strters but I wonder how well they will hold up

Comfortable for strters but I wonder how well they will hold up. It also caused trouble going down the stairs with the sole being longer than my foot. they caught on the rise a couple times.

Too small

I'm a consistent 9 across many running brand sizes, but these are too short. I regret running outdoors in them. They're too small!
